This study used structural equation modeling (SEM) to analyze primary data from the units that participated in the Battalion Combat Team East Kalimantan joint operation exercise in 2022. It indicates that while Army training improves performance, it does not affect the Army's professionalism. The performance also has a favorable effect on the Army's professionalism. The roles of some of the trainees were incompatible with their regular occupations, and the data revealed that not all the weapon systems had been deployed. The exciting thing is that performance can indirectly mediate the influence of training on the professionalism of the Army soldiers, which means that the higher the training, the higher the performance, which in turn affects professionalism. The data used generally do not represent all units within the Indonesian territory.
