Ozlem Goner Ozlem Goner OZLEM GONER is associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the College of Staten Island and in Middle Eastern studies at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She is author of Turkish National Identity and Its Outsiders: Memories of State Violence in Dersim (2017). She has also written academic and popular journal articles on state violence, social movements, gender and intersectionality, and anticolonial self-determination.
