Proven that high-profile traffic accidents with fatal consequences are on the rise. Administrative responsibility under Art. 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses does not solve the severity of the problem. It is necessary to strengthen criminal responsibility and increase the fines for citizens who got behind the wheel of a car and left the road while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Areas of coordination of the activities of law enforcement agencies in the field of road traffic safety have been worked out. Abstract
