Abstract In Ocilion, the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled on two intricated aspects of the relationship between copyright law and Internet TV services, clarifying that de-duplication systems of copying of TV broadcasts do not fall within the scope of the private copying exception and that facilitating online retransmission does not amount to a communication to the public.
