Abstract

A detailed analysis of chemical reagents that are used in visbreaking units at oil refineries is presented. Additives have been identified that are used in a number of refineries, such as a passivator, coke inhibitor, dispersant, corrosion inhibitor, neutralizer, defoamer or antifoaming agent.
