Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji kemampuan penalaran statistis siswa kelas XII. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus, dimana 40 siswa kelas XII Madrasah Aliyah Tegalwaru Karawang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini. Intrumen penelitian yang digunakan berbentuk soal uraian sebanyak dua soal, setiap soal merujuk pada indikator penalaran statistis yang meliputi: describing; organizing dan reducing; representing; dan analyzing dan interpreting. Hasil jawaban siswa dianalisis dan dikelompokkan ke dalam kategori: tinggi, sedang, rendah pada masing-masing indikator. Hasil penelitian diperoleh siswa pada kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Siswa yang memperoleh kategori rendah dikarenakan siswa belum mampu menjelaskan konsep dari masalah, menyelesaikan masalah, dan menghubungkan masalah ke dalam bentuk diagram dengan benar. ABSTRACT Students' statistical reasoning abilities are still low because students still have difficulty understanding problems in non-routine questions, one of which is describing statistical problems in the form of diagrams or graphs and drawing conclusions. The purpose of this study was to test the statistical reasoning abilities of class XII students. The research method used was a case study, where 40 students of class XII Madrasah Aliyah Tegalwaru Karawang were the subjects of this study. The research instrument used is in the form of a description of two questions, each question refers to an indicator of statistical reasoning which includes: describing; organizing and reducing; representing; and analyzing and interpreting. The results of student answers were analyzed and grouped into categories: high, medium, low for each indicator. The results of the study obtained students in the high, medium and low categories. Abstract
