We report the synthesis and characterization of a series of novel isoxazole derivatives which were synthesized by linking the isoxazole moiety to the carbazole nucleus. The process of synthesis and the steps involved in the synthesis of these novel derivates are described in detail in this study. We confirmed the structures of the novel compounds by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, LCMS spectral data as well as by elemental analysis. Abstract
Isoxazole and carbazole derivatives have a wide range of biological activity and are of high interest to medicinal chemists.
