In recent years, China’s comprehensive national power has been rising, its international status has been significantly improved, and many political terms have sprung up. These political terms reflect the country’s image and the trend of national policy-making, which affects the shaping of the country’s image. Starting from national image and the process of translating political discourse with Chinese characteristics, this paper selects three representative political terms of “Chinese Dream” “Harmony without Uniformity” and “New Model Major-Country Relations” that have appeared in government work reports, regular press conferences of spokesmen of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic parlance as the research objects. It means to discusses the relationship between Chinese political term translation and national image building and studies the influence of political term translation to build a peaceful, inclusive and win-win national image. Abstract

China has entered a new chapter after the Reform and Opening-up Policy initiated in 1978, and all walks of life have shown a steady improvement. In recent years, China’s comprehensive national power has been rising, its international status has been significantly improved, and many political terms have sprung up. These political terms reflect the country’s image and the trend of national policy-making, which affects the shaping of the country’s image. Starting from national image and the process of translating political discourse with Chinese characteristics, this paper selects three representative political terms of “Chinese Dream” “Harmony without Uniformity” and “New Model Major-Country Relations” that have appeared in government work reports, regular press conferences of spokesmen of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic parlance as the research objects. 中国政治术语翻译与国家形象塑造研究
自1978年实行改革开放政策以来,中国进入了新的篇章,各行各业都呈现出稳步改善的趋势。近年来,中国综合国力不断上升,国际地位显著提高,许多政治术语如雨后春笋般涌现。这些政治用语反映了国家形象和国家决策的走向,影响着国家形象的塑造。本文从国家形象和具有中国特色的政治话语翻译过程出发,选取了出现在政府工作报告、外交部发言人例行记者会和外交用语中具有代表性的“中国梦”、“和而不同”和“新型大国关系”三个政治术语作为研究对象。即探讨中文政治术语翻译与国家形象塑造的关系,研究政治术语翻译对塑造和平、包容、共赢的国家形象的影响。从而提高中国在世界舞台上的国家话语权。
