Methods exist for predicting the fatigue of parts where the plastic deformation during forming is less than the uniform elongation. Nevertheless, many stamped parts include areas where forming strain exceeds uniform elongation. These areas are also very important in terms of high cyclic fatigue. Fatigue tests were carried out on these highly formed bodies. The results are presented in this paper. Abstract
Fatigue of cold formed parts is an important consideration especially in the automotive industry.
