Abstract

The effect of ionic substituents (4-sulfonatophenyl, 4-carboxyphenyl, 4-methylpyridyl, and 4-N,N,N-trimethylaminophenyl-groups) of water-soluble zinc porphyrin (ZnP) on the visible light-driven NADH regeneration by the system of triethanolamine, ZnP, and rhodium complex [Cp*Rh(bpy)(H2O)]2+ (Cp* = pentamethylcyclopentadienyl, bpy = 2,2′-bipyridyl) was studied to provide significant guidance for hybridization with a wide range of oxidoreductases.
