Abstract
Situs inversus totalis is a rare clinical condition which the organs of the chest and abdomen are arranged in a perfect mirror image reversal of the normal positioning. In this paper, we presented a case of 44-year old female with situs inversus totalis who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy due to multiple attacks of cholecystitis and gallbladder stones. Operation was performed after operation team and placement of operation table had been modified due to patient with situs inversus totalis. No pathology was observed intraoperatively. Patient was discharged at next day after postoperative monitoring in clinic without any complication. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is prone to complications in patients with situs inversus totalis due to reversely placed organs. This operation must be performed by experienced surgeons with maximum care.
