Abstract
The following reviews are of the eight volumes of the Methuen Drama Student Editions of Miller’s plays that were published in November 2022. The previous four volumes, on Death of a Salesman, The Crucible, A View From the Bridge, and Incident at Vichy, were released in June 2022 and reviewed in the spring 2023 issue of this journal. Susan Abbotson, the general editor of the series, selected an array of both well-established and younger international scholars as individual volume editors. Each commentary section is arranged to bring a familiar organization to the material, regardless of the play being examined. These include: chronology; introduction; historical, social, and cultural contexts; genre and themes; play as performance; production history; academic debate; behind the scenes (interview with a theater professional); further study; the text of the play; and notes. Due to rights issues involving the texts of Miller’s plays between Methuen in the United Kingdom and Penguin in the United States, the volumes in this series of student guides are not yet available in North America. Students in the Methuen market are fortunate.
