This will make him/her feel isolated which may lead him/her to become depressed as well as anxious because he/she won't know what's going on around him/her. Abstract
Nursing management of the deaf and dumb psychiatric patient is a challenging task. The patient may not be able to communicate with nurse or others, which makes it difficult for you to know what is happening during treatment. Nurse must be able to communicate with the patient and understand their needs in order to provide effective care. A deaf and dumb psychiatric patient who can't communicate well with others will have a hard time getting along with other people in his/her surroundings.
