Kultur und Kulturtransfer aus translationsrelevanter Sicht. Begriffsklärung und Modellierung des Kulturtransfers im Rahmen der literarischen Übersetzung

Abstract

The concepts of culture and cultural transfer are concepts that “travel” between disciplines, and they need a clearer definition in the context of Translation Studies. Relying on interpretations and definitions of culture and cultural transfer that are common in German studies and German-language Translation Studies, I present my own views of the understanding of both concepts. In the cognitive-communicative dimension, I outline the model of cultural transfer within the boundaries of literary translation.
