This systematic review aims to analyse the current literature on the knowledge, attitude, and utilization of health insurance and will provide a comprehensive understanding of health insurance in India.Methods This review has been registered in PROSPERO. PRISMA 2020 guidelines were used for study screening and selection. Databases such as PubMed and Scopus were used to select relevant articles. Besides those databases, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and preprint servers like medRxiv were also used. A total of 28 articles were found relevant and included in the review.Results Based on different geographical regions, the study conducted in Kerala (89.27%) showed the highest knowledge percentage, while Delhi (19.10%) reported the lowest percentage.
