CPT 2024: Changes to Time Descriptors for Office and Other Outpatient Services

Abstract

The code descriptors for office and other outpatient evaluation and management (E/M) services reported with codes 99202–99205 and 99212–99215 have been revised to include a threshold time that must be met to report each code. This change applies to services provided on and after January 1, 2024.
