A HISTORICAL ANALYSIS OF THE ALBANIAN CANON AND BLOOD FEUD FROM THE OTTOMAN PERIOD TO THE PRESENT DAY

Abstract

This paper aims to provide a historical analysis of the Albanian canon and blood feud from the pre-Ottoman period to the present day, examining the various factors that have influenced their development over time.

Relying on a variety of primary and secondary sources, this research shows the sustainability of these practices in the face of social, political and legal changes throughout the history of Albania.
