The X-ray series of a total of 23 patients operated on because of idiopathic scoliosis have been measured out. In 16 patients Harrington's method with dorsal spondylodesis was applied and in 7 patients an electrical stimulation with an implanted stimulator was additionally employed. A time-saving effect of about 30 per cent for the osseous consolidation is obtained by this method. Abstract
