Abstract

. The article examines the place of the oldest party in modern Russia the LDPR in the political system. A brief overview of the most relevant literature on this topic is presented. The author chose the comparative-analytical method and the principle of historicism as the methodological basis of the study. Vladimir Wolfovich Zhirinovsky for thirty-two years was the charismatic leader of The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia until April 2022. With his death, a new stage in the life of the party began. The key factors for the further development of the LDPR are leadership in the party, the preservation of its patriotic, state-oriented, and center-right orientation. To improve its image, the party is committed to intensifying its work with voters across the country, increasing the number of LDPR members, improving the lives of Russians through legislative activities in the State Duma.
