Abstract

X-SEPA, a membrane-based separator material created to improve the performance of existing battery technologies, and accelerate the development of next-generation batteries, was launched in 2022. Japan's 3DOM Alliance Inc, the firm behind the technology, says that recent studies provide further scientific support for the enhanced charge–discharge cycle life of lithium-ion batteries and lithium metal rechargeable batteries equipped with X-SEPA. Its Singapore-based subsidiary, Noco-Noco Pte Ltd, has also started shipping samples to battery manufacturers worldwide.
