The most favorable results in terms of UV light protection of furfurylated wood were obtained with polyurethane varnish, while among the two natural coatings, linseed oil showed significantly more favorable properties than wax. Abstract

Influence of UV radiation on the color of furfurylated wood protected with refining coatings.
