The gap coupled H-HMSA structure is fed by an indirect pair of a λ/4 resonator. Wide bandwidth (BW) is achieved with the effective use of resonance introduced by λ/4 resonator and gap coupled half hexagonal radiating patch. The proposed antenna methodology with working principle is broadly characterized. Also, investigation on the performance of the proposed antenna configuration with a variation of parameters via coupling gap, the length and width of a pair of the λ/4 resonator has been presented. A peak gain of 6 dB and VSWR ≤ 2 BW of 8% is achieved. In addition, broadside radiation pattern has been obtained across the VSWR≤ 2 BW.
