This article first briefly analyzes the principle and key elements of sonic detection; then, the array formation of beam forming technology, main testing methods and testing principles are introduced, and mathematical derivation is carried out. At the same time, a set of acoustic imaging system based on beam forming is designed. Finally, the application of cable partial discharge detection based on this technology is introduced.
