Abstract
Small satellites launching in earth Low orbit have been continuing in the past two decades. LEO satellites captured the center of attraction in the satellite communication industry due to their several advantages. Due to its faster orbital velocity, so many orbital parameters need to be considered when those satellites are in action. Despite it having many positive attributes, optimized deployment of LEO constellations is not easy. Already broadband internet is being provided by some market player which has limited coverage. This paper investigates the coverage geometry of LEO Constellations and their subsequent implementation. Current trends, challenges, and future direction of LEO Constellations are discussed here. Due to the advancements in Inter Satellite Link Intra Satellite Links, Free space Optical communication paved the way to optimizing its coverage. With regards to LEO satellite altitude, how the elevation and azimuth angle changes were had simulated. Current trends, challenges, and future direction of LEO Constellations are discussed here.
