The mixer is realized on 10mil Alumina subtrate using microstrip technology. GaAs Based Beam Lead Schottky antiparallel diode is used for the frequency mixing purpose. The design eliminates the need of high frequency LO requirement and frequency generation chain required in case of fundamental mixer.
