Chercher et ne pas trouver l’erreur : L’Emploi du temps de Michel Butor (1956) sous la loupe de Pierre Bayard

Abstract

Inspired by the creative and critical approach of Pierre Bayard, the paper explores the notion of error in literature by analyzing the author’s, the reader’s and the character’s responsibility as well as the influence of the narrative voice in crime narratives. The analysis of L’emploi du temps by Michel Butor allows also to experience the Bayard’s methodology, pointing out the effects of textual undecidabilities and problems of authority.
