Abstract

The paper presents simulation and experimental results obtained from an indirect fuzzy vector controlled induction motor drive under varying operating conditions like step change in speed command and step change in torque command. The superiority of fuzzy controller over conventional controllers in handling nonlinear system such as an induction motor has been effectively demonstrated by comparing the response of the drive system using fuzzy controller with that using a PI controller.
