Case studies on IEEE-39 test system show that the proposed economic operation region can quantitatively and intuitively reflect the impact of renewable energy uncertainty on scheduling and provide guidance for economic operation. Abstract

With the acceleration of the process of energy transformation, a large amount of electricity is transmitted across regions through interconnection lines, and some receiving-end grids show the characteristics of high proportion of electricity receiving. The definition of economic operation region is given from the perspective of multiple scenarios. Based on two-stage robust optimization, a modeling method of economic operation region is proposed, and its applicable scenarios are analyzed.
