Abstract
The article presents research on the architecture and construction of wooden churches in the Lubuskie voivodeship, which form a large group of historical buildings. Some of them are monuments of high rank, both in terms of age and stylistic value, design solutions and equipment. The remaining ones are characterized by the common historical value of the wooden cultural heritage, which emphasizes the role of the local building tradition and the originality of the log and half-timbered architecture. The article presents seven types of wood and characterizes each of them. All researched monuments are under conservation protection. Most of them are renovated on an ongoing basis, and a few have undergone complete conservation, revalorization and revitalization in recent years.
