In this paper, flying capacitor, three level converter is used to track the maximum power point for wind energy conversion system. Therefore, the wind turbine conversion system dynamic behaviour, that including wind turbine; permanent magnet synchronous generator; converters and the maximum power point tracking algorithm, are studied. To track the maximum power point, the tip speed ratio strategy is used. Abstract
Due to their advantages in high-voltage and high-power applications, the use of multilevel converters has significantly increased. In other side wind turbine conversion system is continuing to increase. Then, the use of multilevel converters in wind energy conversion systems can avoid such problems.
