GAZORCHASHMA EARTHQUAKE on July 1, 2016 with KR=12.5, Mw=5.0, I0=6–7 (Tajikistan)

Abstract

The field survey results of the consequences of July 1, 2016 earthquake that occurred on the territory of the Rasht (Garm) district of the Republic of Tajikistan are presented. An analysis of damage to buildings and structures is made and their main reasons are revealed. The intensity map is composed and macroseismic parameters are determined. As result of the complex analysis of the main shock focal mechanism, the aftershocks and faults location, the confinement of the earthquake to the main geological structures of the region is established.
