Abstract

The paper presents comparison of a five-phase and a six-phase converter for charging energy storage elements - batteries and supercapacitors. The converters are structured as modules made of five or six units working on a common load. Models of five-phase and six-phase converter are made in LTSpice software. In this research a spectral analysis is performed of the load current when currents amplitude of each source changes. The comparison is made for the same output power.
