ERGOTHERAPY AND REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS WITH COLOSTOMES AS A FACTOR AFFECTING THE QUALITY OF LIFE

Abstract

Summary. The analysis of medical rehabilitation of patients with colonic stoma was carried out, the ultimate goal of which is to improve their quality of life. The relevance of these events is evidenced by the creation in many countries of public associations of stoma patients, the opening of societies for the care of patients with colonic stoma. In the USA, specialized medical schools for the training of stoma-therapists are even being created. Medical rehabilitation should become the main component of the comprehensive rehabilitation of stoma patients with financial support from the state.
