Abstract
Image processing in various monitoring systems has been known recently. The accuracy of detection and prediction in the image region is one of the critical issues for many applications. Moreover, the processing time is an important factor to make the real-time monitoring system. Image processing techniques have been studied for improving the process of the monitoring system. This approach will be implemented on the real applications in the future. In this paper, the flood monitoring system has been evaluated in terms of the accuracy and processing time based on the image processing with respect to various setting parameters which are affected to performance in each technique. The experimental results show the influence of these parameters on the accuracy and processing time. According to the results, canny edge detection presents the best image processing techniques which has been proposed to implement in the real environmental application.
