The proposed antenna has been successfully simulated, fabricated, and measured. Abstract

A novel ultrawideband (UWB) printed planar antenna with triple band-notched characteristics is proposed and discussed in this paper. The realization of the proposed antenna's triple band-notched characteristics is owed to slots on the ground plane and the radiating patch. By employing a curve-shaped defected ground structure (DGS) on the ground plane, a notched band of (SATCOM) 8.0-8.4 GHz is achieved.
