Abstract
Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) is a new technology that improves the wireless channel environment through passive reflective units. On the basis of traditional spatial modulation (SM), we propose a new model in which the reflecting surface pattern is designed as a supervised symbol, and two reflective units are combined and cyclically coded using a new model. In comparison with the existing model, we found that it not only reduces the bit error rate (BER) but also simplifies the difficulty of project implementation. The simulation results show that this new type of system is significantly better than the current solution in terms of BER.
