Abstract

Research regarding the manners in which the efficiency of human-computer interactions can be improved has increased over the last decade. Avatars, as animated software agents, represented a new paradigm for this field. In this paper we present a computer model of emotions that can be easily integrated in an avatar-based interaction context. Enhanced with the emotion model the avatars manifest an expressive behavior, ultimately influenced by their personality definitions.
