Abstract

TIR mirrors and etched beam splitters based on weakly guided waveguides are demonstrated in GaAs/Al0.9Ga0.1As system. Mirror loss of 0.45 dB is measured. Resonators with 1.2 dB round trip loss and 7.6 nm FSR are also demonstrated.
