EIGHT YEARS LATER IN BIRMINGHAM: a follow‐up of children with severe learning difficulties

Abstract

SUMMARY About eight years ago a study was made of severely mentally handicapped children living at home and receiving education in day schools in the City of Birmingham. They were born in the years 1961-47. The results of a follow-up enquiry of some 200 subjects are reported for survival, living situation, schooling, and provisions after leaving school.
