Results: Specialised travel medicine clinics catering for departing travellers and ill returnees exist in the large Brazilian urban centres of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. Travel medicine educational events have been hosted by various institutions. Objective: Travel medicine services and training are well established in the British Isles, but the situation in Brazil has not been extensively described.
