Abstract

An intermediate Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) control algorithm is used to extract maximum power from the photovoltaic (PV) system. Among various traditional MPPT algorithms Perturb and Observe (P&O) is widely employed because of low cost and simple implementation. In P&O scheme, fixed step size perturbation consumes much time to track Maximum Power Point (MPP).
