The Archaeology and Early Peoples of the Highlands of Kenya and Northern Tanzania

Abstract

Dr. Sutton is now a Lecturer at University College, Dar es Salaam, and was formerly a Research Student of the Institute, when he carried out extensive field-work mainly in the western highlands of Kenya. In this important article, based largely on that work, he reviews our knowledge of the Late Stone Age, Iron Age, and histories of the peoples of the highlands, Rift Valley and adjoining plains.
