Eğitim ve Kalkınma İlişkisi: TRA2 Bölgesi Örneği

Abstract

: Ensuring economic development is the main goal of developing countries. Today, the human capital factor has become very important factors in the development of countries. In this context education, which is an important element of human capital, and its effects on development are among the most investigated topics among economists. Thus, it has been proven with the many theoretical and empirical studies that education has positive effects on development. In this study were examined the role and effects of education on the development of the TRA2 region, which includes Turkey's Ağrı, Kars, Iğdır and Ardahan provinces. As a result of the analysis covering the 2008-2018 period, it was determined that the correlation between increasing education level and per capita income levels to increase. These results strongly prove the importance of education for the development of both the region and the country.
