Abstract

The objective of this paper is to determine the effect of several critical stitching parameters on the structural performance of a composite laminate. The stitching parameters investigated include stitch diameter, material, and density. To investigate the effect of these parameters, a composite plate was modeled as an orthotropic laminate supported at discrete locations by an elastic foundation.
