By combining inverse initial coding optimization with Levy flight, The classic whale optimization algorithm (WOA) was improved, the optimization ability of WOA and the solving ability of optimal path point are improved, then the local optimal solutions are maximally avoided. Abstract
In this paper, an improved whale optimization algorithm (IWOA) is proposed to solve the problem of independent path planning for mobile robots, which makes mobile robots move along the optimal path.
