Abstract
This paper is concerned with the event-triggered output feedback load frequency control (LFC) problem for multi-area power systems(M-aPS). A new linear matrix inequality (LMI) condition is established for the event-triggered controller design. Compared with previous controller design conditions, the sufficient condition in this paper is convex and much less conservative. Besides, the proposed design method can avoid calculating the generalized inverse and remove the equality constraint. Finally, a three-area power system example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
