Abstract

The corrosion process of transport pipelines of oil and petroleum products represents a particularly important aspect in the distribution and transport process of those products. Over the last decades, solutions have been sought to reduce the effects of corrosion that encounters in steel or grey cast-iron pipelines. The present work reports a series of experimental data obtained over several months of investigation. The samples were tested in different environmental salinity conditions (distilled water with a salinity of 0 ‰, 5 ‰, 20 ‰, respectively 40 ‰), covered or not with a primer layer, as well as subjected to stray currents from the soil (simulated by supplied to a current source).
