The requirements of e-learning in Yemeni Universities in the light of Corona epidemic from the view point of University Lecturers and students At Amran University

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the requirements of using e-learning in Yemeni Universities to face the Corona epidemic from the point of view of faculty members and students at Amran University. The researchers used the descriptive approach, and the tool was a questionnaire of (46) items, distributed electronically to a sample of(304)individuals, of whom (66) faculty members, and(238)male and female students, and the results of the study showed that all e-learning requirements obtained a high importance degree with an arithmetic average(4.16 out of 5). And at the domain level; The requirements related to the teaching staff ranked first with an average of (4.23), with a degree of importance(very high), followed by the requirements of the social and legal environment with An average of (4.20), And the third the requirements for equipment and programs with An average of (4.14). Finally, the requirements related to students with an Average of (4.05), And all of them rated the importance of (high). The results of The study also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences at (α≤0.05) between the sample responses about the requirements of e-learning in Yemeni universities to encounter Corona epidemic, depending on the variables (type- college-degree-years of experience), While there were differences according to the educational level variable in the third domain only (equipment and programs); Between the two levels (the second and the third on the one hand, and the fourth on the other hand, and the difference in favor of (the second and the third), and based on the results, the researchers presented a set of recommendations, including; the need to develop a plan to provide the requirements of e-learning in Yemeni universities, the necessity to disburse the monthly salaries of the teaching staff regularly, and to propose complementary studies in the topic. الملخص: هَدِفَت الدراسة إلى تحديد متطلبات استخدام التعليم الإلكتروني بالجامعات اليمنية لمواجهة جائحة كورونا من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلبة بجامعة عمران، واستخدم الباحثون المنهج الوصفي، وتمثلت الأداة في استبانة من (46) فقرة، تم توزيعها إلكترونياً على عينة بلغت (304) فرداً، منهم (66) أعضاء هيئة تدريس، و(238) طالباً وطالبة، وبينت نتائج الدراسة أن جميع متطلبات التعليم الإلكتروني حصلت على درجة أهمية كبيرة بمتوسط حسابي (4.16 من5). وعلى مستوى المجالات؛ حصلت المتطلبات المتعلقة بهيئة التدريس على المرتبة الأولى بمتوسط (4.23)، بدرجة أهمية (كبيرة جداً)، تلتها متطلبات البيئة الاجتماعية والقانونية بمتوسط (4.20) وثالثاً متطلبات التجهيزات والبرامج بمتوسط ( 4.14) وأخيراً المتطلبات المتعلقة بالطلبة بمتوسط (4.05) وجميعها بتقدير أهمية (كبيرة). كما كشفت نتائج الدراسة عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا عند (α≤0.05) بين إجابات العينة حول متطلبات التعليم الإلكتروني بالجامعات اليمنية لمواجهة جائحة كورونا، تبعاً لمتغيرات (النوع- الكلية- الدرجة العلمية- سنوات الخبرة) فيما وُجِدَتْ فروق تبعاً لمتغير المستوى التعليمي في المجال الثالث فقط (التجهيزات والبرامج)؛ بين المستويين (الثاني والثالث من جهة، والرابع من جهة أخرى، والفرق لصالح (الثاني والثالث)، واستنادا للنتائج قدم الباحثون جملة من التوصيات ومنها؛ ضرورة وضع خطة لتوفير متطلبات التعليم الإلكتروني بالجامعات اليمنية، وضرورة صرف المرتبات الشهرية لهيئة التدريس بانتظام، واقتراح دراسات تكميلية للموضوع.
