Abstract
A flexible manufacturing system design and evaluation package which consists of three programs, the component library manager, the plan design program, and the simulator program, was developed. The library manager contains both shape and characteristics of the components. The plan design program permits the location of components extracted from a library, its connection through transportation elements, the drawing of a layout, and the storing of its map for possible future modification.
