Abstract

Evidence-based governance – international and supranational stakeholders of educational policy such as the European Union (EU) or the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) have increasingly referred to this form of knowledge-centred governance in recent years. Growing public expectations of effective policies increasingly put a strain on educational decisions concerning the structures, processes, and effects of educational systems. As a result, evidence-based decisions now will be made in consideration of scientific research findings.2
